Carrier Information System is an Internet application designed for ease of use that enables users the ability to quickly find and sort relevent data on carriers in North America. The CIS database contains close to 100,000 companies with complete detail down to the number of units and trailers. Below are a few screenshots from the application.

There are 3 main ways to search for companies: City and State, Name, and DOT or MMC ID. This screenshot shows the City Search view. Filters are availabe for number of units and radial distance from inputed city. All City searches saved as history for easy recall of previous searches.

This screenshot shows the third search type which is by MMC or DOT ID. This is used for finding specific details on a carrier if the ID is already known. This search is also useful for pulling a single record from previous city and name searches.

The result list shown above lists all carriers that match the search criteria. You can sort this data by name, number of units, distance (city search), and direction (city search). Here you have the ability to export data in multiple formats including (text, comma delimited, and Excel) and also the abilitly to select which fields to export. These formats can easily be imported into most contact management and spreadsheet programs.

The detailed display view lists the complete details about the carrier. Information on this page includes corporate websites, parent and subsidary companies, units, tailers, mailing and physical addresses, phone numbers, as well as SIC classifications, fleet type details and much more. You have the ability to add comments about a carrier which can only seen by you and also send feedback to us about a carrier.
